Default Trivia: who is being spoken of in Surah 2:246?

    "Hast thou not
Turned thy vision to the Chiefs
    Of The Children Of Israel
    After(the time of) Moses
    They said to a Prophet
    (That was) among them:
"Appoint for us a King, That we
May Fight in the cause of Allah
he said: Is it not possible,
    If ye were commanded
    To fight,that that ye
    Will not fight?" They said:
    "How could we refuse
To fight in the cause of Allah.
Seeing that we were turned out
Of our homes and our families?"
    But when they were commanded
    To fight, they turned back.
    Except a small band
    Among Them. But Allah
    Has full Knowledge of those
    Who do wrong.

one thing i wanna say about buddha is uneducated people view him as some kind of diety, when he was human and he didnt stress an importance of god, buddhsim is all about the self.

In Buddhism, Devas and Deities are nothing more worthy than humans or animals. They're all subject to Kamma and Dukkha.

"Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways.

Now appoint a king for us to judge us like all the nations."

But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said,
"Give us a king to judge us " And Samuel prayed to the LORD.

The LORD said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in regard
to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you,
but they have rejected Me from being king over them."
    1 Samuel 8:5-7

The Prophet of the Children of Israel here is Samuel, peace be upon him. This verse and the following verses tell the story of Samuel, peace be upon him, Talut (Saul) who is chosen by God to be the king of Israel that leads them against the army of Goliath, and David, peace be upon him, who is a part of Saul's army and kills Goliath.

"in his time Israel had suffered from much corruption within and many reverses without. the Philistines had made a great attack and defeated Israel with great slaughter. the Israelites instead of relying on Faith and their own cohesion brought out their most sacred possession, the ark of the covenant to help them fight. but the enemy captured it, carried it away and retained it for seven months".....----commentary by Abdullah Yusuf Ali

a deity is one worth of worship and huans are the ones who worship the deity unless a human decides they want to be a deity, but really, there is no deity other than The God, the one and only real deity
