Sounds like he's playing beats from around the "Welcome To Detroit" era on his dual MPC setup. He's not the first to setup more than one machine for playing beats, a few producers have MIDI'd MPCs and SP's together to increase their memory/sample time.

After watching that, I think people can still make good use of MPCs today. I don't think the widespread use of digital workstations and so much sample time has necessarily benefited today's production, maybe only a select few who know how to put them to use but for the most part I like hearing the rawness of MPCs and hardware with limited sample time as Hip Hop.
