Default Tommy Tee/Ken Ring Ft. M.O.P. - VIDEO (MUST SEE!!)

HELL YEAAAAH, Norweigian super producer Tommy Tee (worked with Pete Rock, AG, CL Smooth, Sean Price, Boot Camp Clik, Smif-N-Wessun, Large Professor and many many more) are back with Swedish rapper (and producer) Ken Ring (who produced or co-produced all of Smif-N-Wessun's "The Album" and rapped with Proof and Mr. Porter amongst others) with the sequel to 2004's collaboration "Legender Utan Penger" - which is one of the absolute best Scandinavian hip-hop albums of all time to me, still.

MOP is featured in both the video and on the hook, and guess what they are rapping in Swedish haha... this is one of the illest songs of the year so far, shits ALL OVER the majority of any mainstream or semi-mainstream US hip-hop right now. this is back to the roots and proof that the culture is universal.

the video is filmed in Stockholm, a capecity in Kenya and Kiev.

there's two tracks in the video btw, the song with MOP starts after about 1 minute and the first song is a track from the original "2 Legender..."

he's pretty much talking about struggles and hardships, dead friends, drinking away the pain, etc.

    It kinda goes like this

Fame: "do you see that guy there, from yesterday, son"
    Billy: "get him, son"
Billy: "we'll show this guy, he's ours, son"
    Fame: "get him, son"
Fame: "that's how it goes down in the concrete, son" [read hood]
Billy/Fame: "get him, get him, get him, get him, get him"

Bamboo & GhettoGnom: how did my Scandinavian homies feel about the original "2 Legender Uten Penger"? i think it was a straight-up incredible album, i haven't listened to it in a long time but as i remember there were only one weaker song and the rest absolutely bangers.

I haven't listened to it at all, I like Tommy Tee but I'm not a big fan of Ken, he has his moments I guess, but I can only stand him in low doses lol ! never sat down and listened to any of his albums from start to finish.

On your recommendation I will check out that album

Yeah, I got the last parts, after hearing the chorus a couple of times, it was actually surprisingly easy.. But that first line, haha... I think I caught "i går" now though. Thanks! ^^

I love it! Still getting rotation somewhat regularly, front to back greatness after removing Jag Är Norsk.. It would've been funny in an interview or in a private setting, but as an album track it just doesn't have any replay value for me.

You should listen to Antligen Hemma as well, probably my favorite Ken Ring album. One-two corny hooks, but a very personal album mixed with a couple of HEAVY Tommy Tee bangers.. It's probably the most varied Ken album as well, so it'll be a nice way to ease into him.
