Cool Sadistik - The Balancing Act [2008]

    Tracklist:
    1. Dawn of the Dead
    2. Playing God
    3. Ashes to Ashley Ft. Mac Lethal
    4. Searching for Some Beautiful
    5. Momento Mori
    6. Clockwork Grey (Interlude)
    7. Absolution
    8. Murder of Crows
    9. Writes of Passage Ft. Vast Aire
    10. Angel Eyes
    11. November
    12. The Exception to Everything

Sadistik's an artist you'll either love or hate. But there's no denying his skill.
His internal multi-syllable rhyme scheme is one of the greatest I've ever heard.
His music would probably be conisdered "emo-rap"(I hate that term).
Although a little short, it's a fantastic debut.

    Lyrics - 9.5
    Beats - 8.5
    Overall - 9

another album i didnt expect to see reviewed here. Its def a themed album about a girlfriend. great record, wouldn't argue your ratings. his flow and voice need some work, but the beats and lyrics carry it well

also he released an EP last year with the producer A Kid Called Computer (great producer). the album is on same level as this one

    Yeah, it was great too.

He's releasing 2 albums this year.
The main one is an album called Karma by Candlelight, produced entirely by Emancipator.
The other he made in 3 days with Kristoff Krane called Prey for Paralysis.
I don't know if this one is just an EP or a full length LP.

Acquired conscious competence of all of my accomplishments //
And conquered constant comments that contradicted my confidence //
Common compliments were called upon to con me in //
Accosted consonant comments that condescended all my common sense //

Sadistik's on some whole 'nother shit.

This is crazy. I been in desperate need of some new hip-hop, and the only stuff I listen to is really stuff like Sadistik, Sage, Prolyphic, Eyedea, etc. I only came back to this forum for that reason, but expected I wouldn't find anything near that criteria or similar style as them because I know Wu fans don't normally (at least the ones that were around when I was here) listen to this stuff. Glad to see someone bump Sadistik here.

Sadistik is a talented writer, but dude can't rap and brings down the album so much that I never really listen to it..

Emancipator is an amazing producer though, so Soon It Will Be Cold Enough (if I remember correctly, it's more or less an instrumental version of this) still gets steady rotation. Perfect album to smoke a couple of bowls to before going to sleep.
