I agree, Premiere is just better in general than everyone else. Indisputably the most consistent.

Having said that, Theres a lot of producers with different strengths, RZA makes whole albums and although he has a signature sound, its a hell of a lot more versatile than Preem. Dilla gets a sound out of his production method that no-one else seems to be able to do, Timbaland created a thousand drum patterns that are just plain genius ya know?

primo hurt his career by wasting too many beats on worthless mc's

big shug & group home are the first that come to mind!

but yeah in 2011 i'll pick a primo track over a rza one any day of the week!
you didnt like return to 36 chambers?

Premier was great in the 90's, all kind of beats back then.

    However,

95% of what DJ Premier has produced since the year 2G sounds similar. Same kind of drums and choppy samples.

It's to the point where you can already tell within the first 3 seconds of a song if it was produced by DJ Premier.

there all legends, regardless of who still does it best now. im a fan of RZAs work, and Premo but both styles are different. and i would take a Pete Rock joint over both, so it dont really matter.

in the end, Premo has done wack shit and RZA has done wack shit. Premo just stuck with his formula, RZA moved into scoring movies and it shows in his new productions. lets not kid ourselves like Premo hasnt made some bad choices (ie. working with Mac Miller)

on that note, i know that Premo is working with some classical musicians, as well as Nas, to make some documentry. it may change Premo's view on music and his style.

Preemo is very consistent, so consistent he's been making the same bridge since 1986. He can't touch RZA in terms of diversity.

    premiers catalog CRUSHES RZA...

whats the last banger RZA laced?!!?!?!?!?!

primo stays dropping hot shit... every year...

im happy rza is scoring flicks making movies...

but when it comes to hip hop music, hes basically retired...

the joints on OB4CL 2 were OLD...

    primo dropping bangers NOW...

    and was dropping them then...

when RZA was at his peak, primo dropped classic shit..

when RZA dropped oridnary love... primo was dropping heaters...

RZA might be my favorite producer but hes now getting lapped by primo due to output....
