I used to get confused when people mentioned him, cause his name sounds a bit like Aesop Rock who is a great rapper.

why is it dumbed down? i think these guys are trying to recreate classic 90s gangsta rap, but they are doing it creatively. rather than lazily following trends, or just sounding old school and lame.

they aren't the greatest lyricists, but why give a fuck? their songwriting is effortless and their flows are creative as hell.

its dumbed down classic 90s nyc rap. which is why it sounds aright but it is what it is.

what dont you get about that? rae = 90s rap. are they on his level (or any of the other dudes who were doing work in the 90s)?

    rhetorical. answer is obvious.

    Yeah I know FINALLY.

They Praise Rae on the hook "King of New York wit these Underground Killas"

Raekwon delivers a verse that shows why he has the Wu-Tang crown.

Rae is using Gza's lazy style and is eating the fruits of labor, Gza fans are stuck wondering why Gza can't deliver at this rate

fair point, but don't think these guys are trying to emulate 90s rap though really, i mean, half of the mixtape is stuff like this:

which i like, but it's a long way from anything to do with "dumbed down classic 90s rap".
