    Default Black mirror

the best uk series ive seen for a long while

been 2 seasons so far, 3 episodes in a season

    Season One

A twisted parable for the Twitter age, Black Mirror taps into the collective unease about our modern world.

The first episode is a political thriller in which fictional Prime Minister Michael Callow faces a huge and shocking dilemma when Princess Susannah, a much-loved member of the Royal Family, is kidnapped.

Set in a sarcastic version of a future reality - is a satire on entertainment shows and our insatiable thirst for distraction. Featuring Julia Davis and Rupert Everett.

In the near future, everyone has access to a memory implant that records everything they do, see and hear - a sort of Sky Plus for the brain.

You need never forget a face again... but is that always a good thing?

    Season Two

A darkly satirical film from Charlie Brooker exploring our modern reality. A young couple, Martha and Ash move to a remote cottage to start their new life together.

Victoria wakes up and cannot remember anything about her life. Everyone she encounters refuses to communicate with her and enjoys filming her discomfort on their phones.

An animated blue bear from children's TV and a satirical comedy show played by a failed comedian Jamie Salter, finds himself being entered into a political race

What do you make of the fact that a "black mirror" is an occult scrying device? Why would they name this tv show after that?

Black Mirror is a British television drama series created by Charlie Brooker. The series is produced by Zeppotron for Endemol. Regarding the programme's content and structure, Brooker noted, "each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy."[1]
An Endemol press release describes the series as "a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world", with the stories having a "techno-paranoia" feel.[2] Channel 4 describes the first episode as "a twisted parable for the Twitter age".[3] Black Mirror Series 1 was released on DVD on 27 February 2012.[4]
In November 2012, Black Mirror won the Best TV movie/mini-series award at the International Emmys.[5]
Announced on 12 July 2012,[6] the second series began broadcasting on 11 February 2013. Like the first series, it is made up of three episodes with unconnected narratives.
Robert Downey, Jr. has optioned the episode The Entire History of You, to potentially be made into a film by Warner Bros. and his own production company Team Downey.[7]
