remember when Cilva said some Generals hated the beats for his project and called them "dark funeral Music"?

Yes, most of them have a shitty ear for beats.

Yeah I wouldn't mind a mix of Wu producers on the next LP

but I don't care about those two disappointments anymore. I just want the new album to be good, but I think they need other producers.

I don't trust RZA anymore. Black Mozart and New Wu off CL2 were bangers, but he had no beats on shaolin vs. wu-tang, and yet his own pupil gave Rae a dope ass beat (Silver Rings). he gave Wu-Massacre one decent beat (Our Dreams) and I think he had one mediocre beat on Pro Tools. and when was the last time he gave Ghost a beat, Pretty Toney Album??
What beat was wack on Iron flag? I don't even hate 8D but I think it's universally looked at as the weakest Lp

I would argue that "Dashing" was the wackest beat ever to appear on a Wu album.

iron flag is divided between excellent songs and horrible songs while 8 diagrams is overall underwhelming and average with less music that is totally bad but also very little music thats absolutely great.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. I enjoy that a thread about their new album is dominated by talk of how shitty previous albums/tracks were.

At this point, if fans on here can't really be bothered checking this out, who is going to?

I guess like most people here i'll download this and play it once or twice for old times' sake.

Not buying a Wu album is not an option. My collection of Wu cd's is fucking epic and I'm quite proud of it.

There are a plenty of Wu fans out there who aren't on this forum. When it comes to this forum, the word 'fans' can only be used loosely because many people spend more time complaining about the Wu.

why not quote everything I said, and answer everything I said

my point was - they are not good enough for me, the last album was boring, most of their solos after 2007 are their worst moments since they started rapping.... new exciting people coming into the game

    THIS.

And 8 Diagrams was a promising name for an album too. That doesn't make it necessarly good, or significant. I'm afraid they could get really preachy on this album, especially RZA. I hate RZAs parts on the new Ghost video.

2013 Wu tang is still better than most rappers in the game right now

12 reasons to die is one of the year's best releases already. Rae's CL2 and shaolin vs wutang were both good, and there's more good shit coming up. for dudes in their 40s, I'd say it's pretty impressive
