In regards to Paula Deen, allow me to explain something. The woman grew up in a time where racism was welcomed. She grew up in a time where blacks were considered extremely inferior to whites. It's unfortunate that her life will change for the worse because of her comments.
It's interesting because no one said anything when Jay Leno made racists comments about Mexicans on the Tonight Show. Racism should be focused on blacks.
Yes, it was funny like SKampoe said, but when I conside her other statements, I see she has this preoccupation with skin color. She's usually making color, especially skin color an issue when it is not an issue like the so called "plantation wedding" with black men wearing white suites. Skin color means a lot to her and she makes some of her decisions based on it.
