Usually don't concern myself w/ this BS

But I actually can't blame the long time fans for calling out Aubrey on this one. Only because..

The guy is like the messiah of Simp R&B anthems, and actually had the audacity to title a track after an album which had THIS as an intro (disc two)

Yeah but if we're honest Wu made plenty of pop singles (or attempted pop singles) over the years.

Ya.. Post Forever. RZA's rant about the 90's R&B scene was probably taken a little too serious by the fanbase.

UPDATE: Wu Tang is set to remix the track.
"They wanted us to remix it and get on there [so] you gon’ probably hear another one with us on it," said U-God. "Meth did his verse - we all did our verses. I wrote my rhyme in probably 15, 20 minutes. We were moving so fast we only had about four hours of studio time. If I had some time to really sit down and get juicy with it, I probably could’ve got juicier with it. But I still do a nice one, I still do a real banger."

This. Sure the Wu have had pop angles since, but this track lures with the Wu-Tang Forever title. This Drake song embodies what the intro rants about. Drake's song is almost like a mockery, gloating how his style of music is "on top."

I'm looking forward to hearing what Wu do in response. Sounds like we at least have U-God, Meth, and INS on board.

I don't get this sentiment that all pop music is bad. You ask me RZA was talking specifically to that particular jiggy era with Puff, Mase, Jay-Z etc and even with those artists back then they still made some shit that everybody likes. It was more just distancing their style from what was going on because they were dedicated to that style.

Also INS seems to be not onboard, and hadn't heard it before so he won't be on the remix.

The fact that they even have a remix with this nigga has disillusioned me...I'm not understanding this and please save it, yeah you cornballs that are gonna come in here talking about open mindedness and all that wackness...this shit right here is going against the grain man...I don't give a fuck about relevance..this shit won't make em relevant..those fans they tying to please are gonna peep their shit for a week and diss them because pretty boys and mangina's generally don't lime gritty boom bap shit....wtf part of the game is this shit tho
