are you really that stupid? there aren't any indicators to say how difficult someone's pregnancy or birth is going to be. no one can predict what kind of pregnancy they're gonna have or predict what kind of birth they're gonna have. no one prepares to get post natal depression, every woman expecting a child expects to fall in love with their child.

you do say some really dumb ignorant shit. it appears you don't have a brain, that should be an indication that you shouldn't speak on such subjects.

even if someone has had a relatively easy birth with their first child that does not guarantee that they'll have an easy birth with their second or third, etc.

In the past year, the woman's boyfriend had to call police a few times cause she was putting her daughter in danger. Did they try to put the baby in a safer situation at all, or just let the mom continue to have custody the whole time?

what just take the baby away from the mother? is that the answer?

i reckon she should have had social workers or something keeping an eye on her, make sure she was looking after the baby correctly.

not all mothers are aware of the dangers a child faces. parenting classes might have helped her, too.

Yes, if she did keep putting the baby in danger, it would have been correct to take the baby away until she was fit to take care of it.

And babies don't face any danger whilst in care?

It depends on what level of danger. Driving through barricades at a capital building, getting a car shot up, and things of that nature are probably a higher level of danger than most babies would face. Since the boyfriend had to report the mom to the police before this, I assume she was being rather reckless in the past also.

All the crazy mental bs aside, the woman was responsible for her own death. What person puts their child in danger? Trixx, you can't be serious by stating that not all mothers know the dangers their child is in. Saying that the mental effects of pregnancy can alter someone's reasoning abilities has no merit in her situation. Nice try, though.

She should've been on her meds. If she was in huge debt, then why'd she have a child? My point is she should've not put in child in danger; her "mental illness" doesn't excuse the fact that she endangered people's lives.

Trixx, are you stating that women lack accountability and reasoning?

It's why it's called a "mental illness" your mind lacks the capacity to reason when you're high like she was. Not high as in high on drugs but high in emotional terms. I agree she should have taken meds.

I agree she shouldn't have put her child's life in danger, no one is disputing that but you don't know what was going through her mind when she decided to do what she did. It's obvious she wasn't behaving like a normal mother. Help was what was needed for the mother. Taking a baby away from a mother doesn't solve the problem. It's open for more problems. Which is why the decision to take children away from their parents shouldn't be taken lightly. She should have been monitored by health professionals to ensure that baby's safety and her own safety.

Not everything is black and white.

There isn't always a hero and a villain.

Both mother and baby were victims.

Would telling her she shouldn't have had the baby after she's given birth actually help her or the baby in anyway?

Life isn't fair, but do you really want to walk around with people like that out in the world?

Society is grim and unjust but the reality is the best that can be done is to remove these people from society.

The world revolves around money so the paradigm is geared towards self preservation, theres no money to be made from stopping somebody from becoming mentally ill. The money is in the treatment. And broadly speaking, society is reactive not proactive. I doubt these things are going to change in our lifetime.
