Default Occupy pepper spray cop awarded $38,000 settlement to help cope with anxiety

In November 2011, at the height of the Occupy Movement, Officer John Pike doused a group of peaceful protesters at the UC-Davis campus with pepper spray. The officer was put on administrative leave after the incident, and eventually left the police force. Now Pike will receive a workers-compensation settlement totalling over $38,000 because he claimed he began suffering from work-related depression and anxiety after video of the incident went viral.
