Thread: 8 Diagrams wouldve been alot better with Watch Your Mouth was

Default 8 Diagrams wouldve been alot better with Watch Your Mouth was

Listened to this track again..damn sample clearance...Scratch hooked up a banger..and everyone killed it. Especially Inspectah Deck and U-God. 8 Diagrams wasn't the best but wouldve been a lot better if that song was mastered and on the album

    Yeah they go in.

RZA blacks-out on there as well.

Never liked this song to be honest.

I loved this track, but the mixing is horrible..

i'm still a big fan of "8 Diagrams", but a verse from Ghost on "Life Changes" and the completed version of "Watch Your Mouth" (properly mixed, plus with RZA's added co-production as supposed) would have made it even better. i also much prefer the much simpler sample based version of "Heart Gently Weeps", the album version sounds too soft though it has great verses and Erykah Badu (!).

damn, i would love to hear all those tracks that got assasinated from "8 Diagrams". remember they had Marley Marl and Q-Tip doing production for them, plus tracks Killah Priest recorded on... would also really want to hear a full, mastered version of "Thug World"

I like the track but always thought it would sound out of place on 8 diagrams, just doesn't fit in with the sound of the rest of the album (unless this version is a very early version that was going to be added to heavily).

Sounds like it would fit Iron Flag better imo...

Oh no! If I had to decide where to put it I'd choose 8 Diagrams even though it doesn't fit there either. Iron Flag had totally different sound. I'd rather put it on The W - there were songs like "Let My Niggas Live" which would've fitted perfectly.

btw. I checked this song after a long time and I gotta say it's dope. If it'd had better mix it would've been 10 times doper

This track is boring as hell. This is what I imagine you will hear when you're in a coma.
It sounds like 40 year olds who try to rap.

^ I agree. The song is complete garbage. The only reason anyone listened to it is because wutang was good 20 years ago, but the song doesn't desire recognition, let alone a second chance.

lol you dudes kill me. It belongs on 8 diagrams cuz thats the time frame from when they made it..just cuz you have an ipod now..and you can put whatever song on whatever album cuz you think it matches "the feel" doesnt mean it shouldve been on that album when it didnt even exist in that time period.

And some of you should get your ears checked..Deck, U God, Ghost, RZA, And MK all sounded top form on this one...and the beat is dusty as fuck.. What more can you ask for from a wu song?

This joint is a banger! Def should been on the album or on a B-side of some sort.

U-God's verse is awful. The rest is quite good.

but the early promo single/mixtape release was not the finished version... it was the original beat that DJ Scratch sent in and the Wu recorded the verses, RZA would then add co-production to it with live instrumentation to make it sound like the rest of the "8 Diagrams" LP... would love to hear that finished version
