Default [Mixtape] REDMAN - "Muddy Waters 2: The Prelude"

this was released a couple of months ago but i completely missed it, and i did a Google search and a search here on it and it seems it was never posted on The Corp. so chances are there's at least a few of you who missed this one as well.

it's 25 tracks and 77 minutes long so it's quite a long joint but so far there's some dope cuts on this.. Redman sounds amazing on here, Method Man is featured on three songs ("Rite", "Lookin' Fly Too" w. Loaded Lux, and "Step Up" which also features RAEKWON and Xzibit). "Hands Up" featuring DoItAll is produced by Easy Mo Bee...

Not bad, this is just a fan made compilation though of some older tracks and recent youtube ones. The real mixtape is due October/November

It's sad that this topic only got 2 responses considering Redman is a legend but the reason why this hasn't gotten a lot of responses is because people don't like his music anymore. I'll check out this mixtape you posted Claaa7 but i won't be buying Muddy Waters 2 when it comes out. Redman hasn't made a good album since Muddy Waters. His other albums are really bad because of bad beats. Doc's Da Name album has a few songs i like. I've heard some people complain on here about his lyrics aren't good anymore and i disagree. Redman always comes tight with the lyrics. He just sucks at picking good beats now. He used to pick good beats and that's why his first 3 albums are classics. I hope he doesn't do another collabo album with Method Man because i won't be buying that either if they come out with one. The first 2 Blackout albums aren't good but the first Blackout has a couple songs i like. I think Method Man and Redman were too mainstream with those albums when they should've gotten some underground beats on those albums instead of the pop/radio beats they had.

I saw a radio interview recently with Keith Murray on Youtube on The Breakfast Club radio show in New York with Charlamagne and DJ Envy. Keith said him, Erick Sermon and Redman are working on another Def Squad album which i'm not happy about because i didn't like the first Def Squad El Nino album. There was a few songs i liked on El Nino but i wasn't liking most of the beats. Keith Murray has been a disappointment. The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World and Enigma are the only albums of his i like. His other albums are terrible because of bad beats and the collabo album he did with Canibus was terrible because of bad beats. That collabo album could've been raw if they had good beats because Keith and Canibus are ill. Their vocabulary is very good and i think that's good that they read books so they can learn big words because most rappers vocabulary is terrible.

I know ya'll know about Keith and Fredro Starr are gonna have a rap battle and i guess they already had it. Keith was bragging that he could beat Fredro easily because Fredro isn't on his level. I think Keith could beat him in a battle but i didn't like some of the things Keith was saying about Fredro in a interview i saw because they both come from the same 90's era of raw rap music and Keith shouldn't be dissing him. Keith needs to talk to Fredro after this battle and ask him about doing a collabo because i don't think Keith has ever collaborated with Onyx and that would be nice if they did a collabo as long as the beat is good LOL.
