hahaha I googled this (excuse my utter Belgianness) and one of the first search results was some hiphop forum thread called "Are we meant to understand what Aesop Rock raps about?"

i have not been listening to hip hop as of late as i think it is lame.

reference tyler the creators album title "scum fuck flower boy"

but i see an album that i enjoyed and its a pretty personal album but it hasnt been mentioned yet

    Jonwayne - Rap Album 2

still cant declare my AOTY but that was a solid hip hop offering imo.

    i mean also

Young Thug - Easy Brezzy Beautiful Thugger Girls

    idk right now.

that new Mister Yo when it drops though... shit.

so far all I got is the new Kool G Rap, the new KRS One, the new Jay-Z, the final Sean Price (RIP), the Skyzoo EPProdigy's last album was his best imo.

I liked the Freddie Gibbs album too but some beats were a bit too dreamy for me

I liked the MC Eiht release better than the DJ Quik/Problem collabo

thanks for the great lists so far, I'll be combing through these releases

any other input is very much welcomed
