I don't listen to a lot of new hiphop music nowadays. But what I did like this year, was most of the Griselda shit and as per usual, MelloMusicGroup provided the soundtrack to my life this year.
Joey Bada$$, Jay-Z, MadChild and Rae did their thing though. Sean Price album was crazy too. Looks like there is a lot of stuff I'm missing out on though, P Marciano Sadat X amongst other..gonna have to run through those albums. Dope thread!
Ps...new Cunninlynguists album out next month. That´ll probly end up being my album of the year.

I think this year will go down as pretty forgettable. The entire industry was focused on internet troll rappers and they didn't sell anything (except uzi) so it's not like they'll continue on to next year and actually have to story/point to their flash-pan existence. The new Mathematics tapes sounds like it'll be a good listen though (so far). It and the Wild may be the only things I take out of this year.

now this shit i do not get. there is a local 'rapper'/kid i went to school with who obvi is a poser and he changes his whole 'aesthetic' every so often and now this lil peep and all those other people are his aesthetic now. right down to the hair cut and the way he walks around and even talks.

i grew up listeing to punk/pop punk and god damn yeah that is what these guys are trying to do but these guys have no musical IQ. sad cause it could be kinda cool possibly

    also fuck jigga.
