I thought one of the members said in an interview that the mansion was sold since at one time no one took care of it and everyone just had parties in it all the time.

booty talk 26 was filmed in that wu LA mansion.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (Romans 1:18-20)

That sound like it could be true... dam I remember when I found out about the wu mansion I was WHAT, these cats are ill, getting a maNsion and shit, on some batman bruce wayne, masonic, type shit, real underground cult type shit...

Man I miss those days when Wu was all a mystery , and little grimey touches like the wu mansion help add to the shroud of secrecy that surrounded the WU TANG CLAN....

Here I found this on the net....

-"The Wu Tang Clan has come a long way since each member put up $100 to release their first single and shared a one bedroom apartment with 20 people. The Clan has elevated to ownership of their own house which they call the Wu mansion.

The Wu mansion is equipped with a studio and enough bedrooms to house all active members of the group. Any one who thought that young Black men are only interested in designer clothes and unnecessary luxuries should listen to Wu Tang Forever. They might just amend those hasty generalizations."-

see this was on a forever peice.... Im sure they recorded it there out in jersey.

    ok here it goes:

Wu-Tang Forever was recorded in LA, but they put the finishing touches (the final mix) at the New Jersey Wu mansion (the real mansion, where they also recorded Gravediggaz' Pick, Sickle & Shovel album around the same time in 97). Similar to The W album. They recorded it at the rented Wu mansion (California) and put the finishing touches at 36 Chambers studio in NYC.

On another note, the reason why they gave the Jursey Wu mansion up is because nobody took care of it. Too many people (Wu members and affiliates) were hanging around just smoking blunts and having a bunch of girls over. Too much partying and not enough work done. This was said by RZA on an interview.
