as the everyone has mentioned they have some the most talented MC's/producers on their roster without doubt. Plus any label that released the Cold Vein can never suck in my eyes.

    How is Murs not fun?

Lif is probably my all round favourite emcee. Political (Earthcrusher, Brothaz, Memorial Day, What Have We Got To Lose?!? and loads more), fun (Status, Murs iz My Manager, Party Hard, Career Finders), great socially aware subject matter (Success, Live From the Plantation, Lookin' In, For You) and great word play (see Love Letters and New Man Theme).

Cage is amazing, Hell's Winter was my album of '05.

El-P is easily one of my favourite producers, Cold Vein and Fantastic Damage are in my top 10 ever.

    RJ's solo albums are great.

    Aesop's Labor Days is incredible.

thats the one exception (along with mr. lif), i guess the label itself is good cos cats like murs can do whatever record he likes his album 'the beginning of the end' is dope

but i refuse to accept El-P, Cage, Copywrite, Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock etc as anything but wack

Just because it wasn't released on Def Jux. He is still signed to the label though and El-P says there's no problems and that Murs will still release some projects on Jux in the future.

I dont like some of their stuff, but I love El-Ps beats. Cage and Mr. Lif are great aswell. I used to like Aesop Rock but he can get pretty annoying when u listen to him for a while.

the few i hav listened to so far are dope , but its not for everyone, it has a very different sound. maybe u dont like the abstract shit, but what songs have u heard from those artists u mentioned ?? maybe u got a bad first impression cause theyre not wack..

fuck those ignorant people who call people backpackers, explain why u dont like it atleast

    they do not suck, ok

the best year for the label was definently in 2002...
    DJXP2 - Def Jux Presents Volume 2
    Aesop Rock - Daylight EP
Mr LIF - Emergency Rations EP
    Mr LIF - I Phantom
    RJD2 - Dead Ringer
    EL-P - Fantastic Damage

its not easy to repeat that year
