MF Doom used to be in a rap group with his brother called KMD back in the day. They were around about the time that Brand Nubian and the Native Tongues collective were around. Doom's bro died and he didn't put out anything for a while. His first album he came out with, under the MF Doom name was 'Operation Doomsday' (good luck finding that). He also records under a gang of aliases.

    MF Doom
    Monster Island Czars
    Viktor Vaughan
    King Gheedorah
    Madvillain
Zev Love X (when he was in KMD)

He does have a series of CD's out entitled 'Special Herbs' that just have his beats on em. I think there is a total of 8 volumes, but I've seen them double up on one CD. Most of his beats are blunted beat type stuff, but he occasionally samples 80's tracks and cuts em up to sound fresh.

I hope he brings the heat on the joints for Ghost. I am still perplexed as to why Ghost does not employ Bronze, J-Love, or someone like Moongod to make some beats for him.

Ghost isn't saying RZA can't do it anymore. It's just that RZA hasn't been doing it the past few years now.

mf doom is great....but he isnt Rza, 4th, tru, or math.

he'll give ghost the soul sampling he wants, but so would the fantastic 4(run, biscuits, wu banga 101).

mf doom is not the best choice, but he's hardly a bad choice.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Show me where the fuck Ghost sold out. You base this stupid shit on the fact that you probably didn't like Pretty Tone. Hate to say it, but you all know this is true: Almost every clan member has an album that you don't like. That shit don't mean Ghost sold out. Stop all the hate, Ghost is nasty. Ghost still ripped shit on Pretty Tone. Go away ZiG.

And as far as MF Doom sounding like RZA, I haven't heard much of MF Doom's music but, I do sense a little bit of RZA influence. Some of you make it sound like Doom sucks ass. Doom will do Ghost right. But Doom is no RZA. I just think RZA is concentrating more on the ochestra tip right now. Like he said in The Manual, that's gonna be the future of Hip-Hop.

Also, just a bit off topic:

In the MF Doom music videos I've seen (Dead Bent, Question and I hear voices), MF Doom dresses like me when I'm at home....like a bum. No disrespect, I think thats ill. But haha, its a bit funny. In Dead Bent, he's shopping at the grocery store, LMAO.

I'm not shitting on Doom at all. I just think he can't touch RZA. And good looking out for those tracks.

But maybe he can touch Ghostface Killah. So it is better for Ghostface Killah to stay with RZA. I think.

I think, either way we're in for an ill album. MF Doom and RZA are excellent producers, but like I said, Doom can't touch RZA.
