    Default New J5 album Feedback!

YESSS!!!!!!!!! a new J5 album!!!!!! cant wait!!!!!!!!!

    May 2006
After a hectic three year hiatus J5 make a welcome return with their fourth album - 'Feedback'. The quartet vocal tag team - Chali 2na, Marc 7, Akil, Zaakir (Soup) and DJ/producer Nu-Mark (minus Cut Chemist) are set to rock the concrete schoolyard again with their signature flow of soulful harmonising, top notch turntable skills and head-bopping samples. The production duties are further excelled with the aid of Scott Storch, Salaam Remi and Exile on the 15 track album.

The amazing Dave Matthews Band make a special appearance on the 'Work It Out', superstar producer lends a helping hand on the rhythmic 'Brown Girl', Salaam Remi makes his mark on the transmitter ode 'Radio' and the piano-laced 'Get It Together'. Nu-Mark brings the J5 flavour to 'Where We At', Mos Def makes a special appearance on the Root's sampling 'Future Sound' with Soup and Akil spitting their rhymes effortlessly.

Jurassic 5 conjure an energy that recalls a throwback era in hip-hop, when the only thing that seemed to matter was the music and having fun. The time of park jams and block parties, of wilful braggadocio and stylish wordplay, of crafty disc jockeys and handclap beats. J5 have always displayed characteristics of those back-in-the-day jams, like their powerful vocal harmonizing and amplified funk beats, but what the group embody more than stylistic flourishes is that era's spirit: making good music that connects with the people.

    Tracklisting:

    1. Back 4 You
    2. Radio
    3. Brown Girl
    4. Gotta Understand
    5. In The House

Am I the only one who anticipates the 15th track the most I mean, those instrumentals are off the hook.I mean wont be the same without Cut Chemist.
