Look at this database, you'll find most Wu-Tang releases and several affiliates too.

with all these guys tellin u there favs but the ones that are undeniably classic are
    Forever (Clan album)
Enter the Wu-tang 36 chambers(the first and absolutly essential)

    Solo:
Only Built For Cuban Linx - Raekwon
    Liquid Swords - Gza
    Tical - Method Man
    Supreme Clientele - Ghostface Killah

U wont find a hater on any of these (well there is always one asshole out ther)

These are def above average bangin albums that not many hate on

    Clan albums:

    The W
    Iron Flag

    Solo:

    No SAid Date- Masta Killa
    Iron Man - Ghostface Killah
Return To the 36 Chambers -Ol Dirty Bastard
    Bobby Digital in stereo-Rza
    Grand Masters- Gza
    Tical 2000- Method Man

All these albums are worth it ^^^^^^ Check out the reviews for these albums in the Wu-Tang Chamber (if i forgot any albums some1 on the forum will bitch me out)

BTW new albums from this year that are bangin are
    421...the day after-Method Man
    Fishscale-Ghost
    Made in Brooklyn - Masta

The Swarm is 100x better then "The Sting" IMO... (not wanting to disrespect The Sting.)

I just ordered the first 2 Wu Tang albums from Amazon.com. I am also getting the Return to the 36 chambers from ODB as well as Supreme Clientle. That ought to hold me over!!

Has anyone read the book, is it worth reading?

Good choice. Don't forget to pick up Liquid Swords (GZA) & Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (Raekwon) any time soon, the rest will follow.

I haven't read the manual yet. But most who read it claim it's mandatory to have read it (and I will too when I get the chance).

Oh yeah, 6 Feet Deep by the Gravediggaz (feat. RZA) is also an album you can't do without.

are ya kidding? mediocre? Next to 36 chambers, Illmatic and The Infamous, it is the best rap album ever.
