Not really. Overall the album has a to clubby sound, while a was hoping for some more grimey shit.
Nice album, but I'm feeling it way less than most people here.

co-sign. I like only the grimey shit, but there isn't much on it... (Dirty Mef, The Glide, Say, Presidential MC). I ain't feeling the rest of the album.

i'm ecstatic. for ghostface too. the last thing in the world i wanted was another 2004.

Considering they all already have some classics and good albums under their belt, i think it's unreasonable to hope for anything more than 'Good' for a def jam release.

And they both made good albums thus restoring their good names.

anyway, originally rza was the producer for meth's 4th album. then he was taken off and .....after that i feared the worse. i consider myself very lucky.

    all good albums this year!

hmm thats true. hes got some "good" joints, but it's offset with the rest of the crappy tunes that arent classic or even good enough, the crappy ones may be classic for mediocre artists, but for Meth... its bad.

overall i still say it was an OKish album, but we know he can do better.

we expect "much" cos meth is too good an mc, i know the album is good, but not on Meth's level. A true Meth album would have a serious RZA produced feel to it.

feel me, im not hatin on meth... think about it..

the album is very nice, and like you said cap, it's a different era...

a few commercial joints, but I don't mind that.. the majority is bangers !!

and yeah, mef is reppin' wu to the fullest
Shaolin shadowboxin' and the wu-tang swordstyle...
If what you say is true...
The shaolin and the wu-tang could be dangerous!
En garde, I'll let you try my wu-tang style...

    its about consistency.
if he can drop albums that become better and better.. thats positive consistency.

I give Meth props in the sense that he has a lot going against him with some media pricks who tryn to contain him, and its hard to settle in the game when u got so much against you.

Thats why you need to be consistent and be true to what people expect from you, and improve on those expectations.

An artists always has to impress his fans, not the critics to succeed. The fans rule the game, nobody else.

Nowadays if you are on a major label your album is guaranteed not to be classic because of the commercial shit the label puts on.

    you'll be alright
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (Romans 1:18-20)
