As previously reported, Jerry Heller has released his memoirs on his time with Ruthless Records.

The music industry veteran, who had represented artists from Elton John to Van Morrison to Marvin Gaye, ran the affairs of the gangsta rap group fronted by Ruthless Records founder Eric "Eazy E" Wright. But after several albums, group member Cube began accusing Heller of being funny with the money. The rapper’s concerns caused dissension in the group, and ultimately led to Cube’s departure.

The past comes up again in the new book written by Heller that chronicles the formation of N.W.A., which also featured rapper MC Ren and DJ Yella. Eleven years following Eazy’s death from AIDS, the 65-year-old reflects on his time with N.W.A. in the book, Ruthless. would like to report on the chance for all those in the Westwood area of L.A, on October 18th, to meet Jerry Heller and get their book signed by the man himself.
