    Default Best Roots album?

So lately I have been really feeling Black Thought as a deadly emcee, and I want to get a Roots album where he really shines on the mic or where he does the best? What are your suggestions?

Things Fall Apart was the 1st Roots CD I ever got...it won a grammy for "hip-hop album of the year" when it came out, so not a bad place to start.

Tough argument for me whether Black Thought is a better MC before or after that album...overall I like their newer work.

You can pretty much pick up ANY Roots album and he'll be dope on it.

Illadelph Halflife is straight classic, and has one of the best videos for mine, rips the shit outta the "Puffy" charatcers in hip-hop.

things Fall Apart is a classic

Do You Want More??!!?!?! is a classic

Get those, then move on to the newer shiz

Things Fall Apart IMO, but it's not a huge way ahead of Illadelph, Do You..., or Game Theory. Those four are my favourites.

Cop the "Roots present..." DVD. Some of the guests are wack but Blackthought KILLS all the Roots shit. No hype man or backing tracks..just live mcing....dope. The Phrenology album is dope and his cameo on Kweli's "Guerrilla Monsoon Rap" is super nice.

Game Theory, without question feels like a classic, their other joints can be a bit dull musically.
