LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Chuck Norris is donning his cowboy boots once more, reprising his role as "Walker, Texas Ranger" for CBS.
Norris and former series regulars Sheree J. Wilson, Clarence Gilyard and Judson Mills will reprise their roles for the movie, titled "Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire." It's begun production in Dallas and will air during the 2005-06 season.
"Trial by Fire" will find Walker and fellow Ranger Francis Gage (Mills) trying to protect a 13-year-old boy from a crime syndicate after the boy comes into possession of a piece of a missile-guidance system. Meanwhile, Walker also tries to clear another Ranger (Andre Kristoff) who was seen leaving a bar with a woman who ends up murdered.
Former "Northern Exposure" star Janine Turner will play a forensics expert investigating the homicide.
"Walker," which was co-created by recent Oscar nominee Paul Haggis ("Million Dollar Baby"), ran for eight seasons on CBS and was a top-25 show for several of those years before ending its run in 2001. Norris' brother Aaron will direct the movie, which was written by John Lansing and Bruce Cervi, both veterans of the show.
