Default The Godfather Part II: Whose performance was better?

    EDIT:I PUT 3 INSTEAD OF 2...my fault.
    De Niro As Vito Corleone

    Vs.

    Pacino As Michael Corleone

"I know it was you Fredo...you broke my heart, YOU BROKE MY HEART!"

obviously, de niro won an oscar for his role, but I still think Pacino's performance was miraculous, and the absolute epitome of acting. De Niro was great too, considering he was playing an extremely important role in the Trilogy....Vito himself..and he did a swell job, but pacino takes the cake for me...but doesn't eat it, he's diabetic...eloels.

De Niro's scene at the festa was crazy when he shot fannucci.

See, I liked the parts with DeNiro better, and he did a good job of capturing Vito Corleones aura....But Pacino had so many classic lines in the movie and he really nailed Michaels evolution to boss.

I'll give it to DeNiro because I loved those scenes, the setting and the whole rags to riches story. Plus my last name is in a scene with DeNiro on a storefront.

Pacino because he held that performance over the two movies. Now thats a character arc! There are so many thing that are understated in that performance that a lesser actor could not have expressed.

Ofc bobby gave an equal performance but the two movies are really about pacino losing his innocence and soul which he expressed so completely

I never liked Pacino in Godfather....personally he didn't fit the character of Michael Corleone.

Robert DeNiro was excellent!!! It was Robert DeNiro who made Godfather II so good!
