i think the best part of horse racing is the names. just doesn't do anything for me.
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

People are too stupid to effectively conspire to do anything, but not too stupid to come up with conspiracy theories.

    The 'sport' seems pretty shady.

I don't really think it's a sport. For starters, I doubt it would exist without the gambling. Horse racing is something to bet on rather than really being successful because of the racing itself. I'm not knocking it as a whole, I just don't really see it as a sport.

Don't get me wrong though, I might go along for the day and have a bet and get drunk and so on. Thinking of going down the dog track actually.

    Both.

Plus the popularity of horse racing is in a big decline compared to what it used to be. Several horse tracks have been closing across the country. Some of have had to add casinos in order to stay in business. So that makes them even more desperate and sheisty for money than before. That trainer of Big Brown seems like a dickhead.
