I said this in my thread the other day and everyone flamed me. Ghost doesn't want to be in the clan anymore.

i actually didnt see anything wrong with what jay-z told ghost... it is tru that less songs = potntial for more money out the pie.. in addition.. i also think its wise to not just throw an album out there without the proper setup (b4 tha album drops in my opinion.. i would want atleast a video or 2 on rotation).. we as wu fans have complained about that for years.

i agree.....if his last album had better timing it could have got a lot more attention

Plus, am I the only one who thinks that a shorter album is often the better choice QUALITY-WISE as well? If it'll make the record better AND earn Ghost more cash, then why not? And it does seem like it's all Ghost's choice in the end anyway when it comes to the number of tracks on the album
Well said. I agree w/less is more. I wish more artists would give us their best 12 or 13 tracks and leave off the mediocre tracks

if it's real ny hiphop,..why the hell does ghost barely make sense?

defjams prolly gonna can him if he doesnt "go with the grain"... he's not that good, an it's like he doesnt care. i dont think a ghostwriter is supplying those stupid verses.

Illmatic had 10 tracks on it, including the intro and that joint is classic.

This is where reality comes in the picture when youre trying to get out there in the selling albums circuit. Example, Foxy Brown, they were saying they have to introduce her to a new audience. Thats gotta be a difficult thing to accomplish as an artist and finding a new fan base. They must mean wu being defunct as in the eyes of this cash flow industry and the young and "hip" fan base. I see wu's main fan base now in the early twenties and thirties. Im going on 20 and i ask 16 year olds if they listen to wu and some dont know who they are or say "arent they like old" and some just laugh and say yeah i love wu tang and dont own a single album. The industry is revolving around new and fresh talent...leaving older acts such as foxy brown and wu tang in the dust trying to figure out how to reinvent themselves to sell in this new market. It sucks but this is why artists like 50 cent are on top because they are fresh faces for younger people.

    lol @ the translation.
sorry but that's the funniest shit I've seen. but yeah jay even went on to say that jeezy brought in a cd with like 23 songs on it. jay's just trying to pick out the best quality, he's tring to make his artists do the best they can.

even though ghost was making records when jigga was only dreaming about rapping.
