The Lack of Reading Comprehension skills and Low Levels of Understanding
I've seen a sign in the grocery store: "Chicken breast on sale sold out at 1:00 today, sorry". Some trailer park trash yelled "what does that mean it sold out at 1 or its coming at 1?" Based on proper usage of grammar (and it being past 1:00 pm) one can assume it was sold out at that time.
Forum's have one of the largest divisions. Sometimes even with proper grammar usage, some words have more emphasis than others changing the whole meaning of a sentence if the reader emphasizes another less relevant word.
Nitpicking worlds slows understanding down even more. I remember in the Wu Chamber Handshakah misused the term "begging the question" only getting lectured by someone else. The fallacy term is always misused today in casual conversation however everyone else got the ideas of his post.
a thread about the black and white issue will get more hits than this -
this thread can be used to bring an understanding of why there is so much strife and division in these forums -
it gets ignored because strife and division is fun
wow, lol at sunny complaining about race threads
Hes not really complaining about them since he's in most of them.
It's threads the people go into including those race threads when they should also be going into the threads that are about the concept of learning and understanding in the first place.
I have made threads about math (the stuff you learn and school not the supreme mathematics) physics, astronomy, chemistry, atmospheric science ...all convnetional sciences and they all flopped.
You (TSA) even mentioned before how nobody discusses those things here....a few of us do but they all flop. I dont know if its because they dont want to learn from those threads or already know everything, or they rather discuss the conspiracy theories how all those subjects are brainwashing people and not to listen to someone with a PhD in their field.
It is true what SG says, critical thinking helps a lot but no one things that way.
Oh yeah shes cute.
