I picked it up and read it yesterday. It was alright....basically an intro to the character. The box had newspaper clippings, mags, wolverines canadian dog tags and a hologram message from him saying he's the kids real dad. The hologram gizmo is like the one used in the Star Wars movies.

I aslo picke dup WW#3 but haven't read it yet. I was going to pick up the trade for GL rebirth. Anyone recommend it?

gl rebirth is ok and is essential to following what geoff johns is doing with the GL but it's more setup/status quo building...worth a buy but pales in comparison to some of the stuff that comes next

the art in wolverine: weapon x #10 is fucking phenomenal...beautiful stuff....haven't read it yet, just leafed through it but it looks gorgeous

i think the first class books are done

i thought insane in the brain showed promise in the first couple of issues, but then it turned into a bunch of horror movie cliches and faux insane dialogue with a bunch of gore and a silly machine that didn't add up to much (in 2010 we have a writer using the 'brain hooked up to electrodes' as a weapon? sigh...). The most entertaining bits for me was psylocke talking to the reporter lol. everything about dr. rot and dunwich sanitarium screamed joker/ arkham rip off imo...good art though lol

did you ever get a chance to read first class?

might drop wolverine weapon x but i agree about the art though.

ya i thought first class was good, somewhat hit or miss; the stories are good especially the peter david written issues, but with the exception of clayton henry and andrea divito the artwork's pretty bland and sub par. Too bad, because there should be more good 'done in one' 'out of continuity' series.

Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #2

On the heels of last month's reveal of the cover to issue #1, DC Comics has released Andy Kubert's cover to the second issue of the upcoming Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne miniseries. Written by Grant Morrison, it looks like Bruce will be huntin' some witches ...

Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne #3

DC Comics revealed the final two covers for its Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne miniseries today; above you'll see the cover to issue #3, and after the jump you can find the cover to issue #4.
You can also check out the covers to issue #1 and issue #2 if you missed them; all of them feature Andy Kubert drawing various historically themed Batmen, from a caveman to a cowboy.

Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #4

this is going to be nuts. the quality could go either way, i guess, but these covers are great, especially the wild west batman...notice the shape of the canyon or whatever

for the people who read Batman RIP, there's a scene in the wayne manor showing paintings of bruce's ancestors that the black glove boobytrapped...mordecai wayne is the witch-hunter batman, i'd bet money.

poem, how is that world of krypton stuff? i tend to only like out of continuity supes or miniseries, but i liked the geoff johns/gary frank stuff (legion of superheroes and braniac)
