wolverine and the xmen...so good
comic of the week
This thread has been pretty quiet as of late. What's everyone's thoughts on the prequel to Watchmen. I'm excited for it. I think they lined up some great creative teams. I really just hope they don't episode one it!!
I'm definitely going to read them. If they're bad we'll just forget about them--they won't detract from the original. Even if they're not AS good as the original they could still be interesting. It's not like they retired Batman and Daredevil after Frank Miller wrote for them. Why is DC supposed to treat Alan Moore's creations as off-limits?
wow. uncanny x-force went form one of the best saga storylines ive read in a while to.........this? i really hope this is a speedy storyline, cause im not feelin it at all.
and if you're not checking out "fatale" you should. its some really purty comics.
^^ couldn't agree more. Dark Angel saga was one of my favorite story arcs last year but the last 3 x-force ahve been terrible. Haven't read Fatale #2 yet but 1 was good. Daredevil continues to shine and I've taken a real liking to Slott's Spidey comics.
Anyone checked out Luther Strode? Suppose to be pretty good but the early issues are all sold out at my local store.
agreed about x force but im confident it will pick up (just the art im nervous about) and ya im lookin to get into strode as well...btw, Morrisson is gone and Batman is still trippin balls lmao sick issue
batman takes more drugs than timothy leary
yeah, the sloppy artwork is ruining x-force...the story's actually ok (although i don't think it would make a lick of sense unless you read the alan moore/alan davis 'captain britain' comics and the old excalibur series), but there are panels and entire pages where I'm like 'what the fuck am i looking at?'...the cliffhangers on both of the last two issues are case in point
fatale is dope, everything brubaker and phillips do together is sick, i recommend all of their collaborations
figured id post this video in here. i figure you guys might enjoy it.
one of my favorite songs of '11.
if you havent checked out willie evans jr's album "introducin" give it a shot.
very DOOMish on the mic and great chopped up soulful sample type production.
That probably happened after he got drugged by the Court of Owls.
Cool vid although I couldn't understand half he said.
lol pretty funny
