-Jason Kidd becomes Nets head coach
LOL@Stephen Jackson. Who's the black guy that's next to the white guy in the Youtube footage of Stephen talking about what happened in Detroit? It's about time Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh stopped playing like some faggots and did something last night. I knew for Miami to win that they were gonna have to play well. Dwayne and Chris need to play like that all the time. I'm surprised Miami outrebounded the Spurs last night. Spurs are in trouble now because they shouldn't have let Miami win one in their arena. I see Jason Kidd got hired by the Nets to coach them. That's a good choice because i think he'll do well coaching.
There's been a few coaches that have gotten head coaching jobs that never had coaching experience. Orlando's coach is former player Jacque Vaughn and Charlotte used to have Sam Vincent who's a former player and a teammate of Michael Jordan's. I don't think Mike Brown had any coaching experience before he got Cleveland job.
They were mentioning again that Garnett, Pierce, and Doc Rivers could all go to the Clippers
LOL@Chris Bosh gotta pay a fine for flopping and what Check Two said hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Kevin and Paul need to retire. Doc Rivers should try a coaching job for another team.
Late Saturday afternoon, ESPN reported sources said the Clippers were considering the idea of trading forward Blake Griffin along with prized young guard Eric Bledsoe in a sign and-trade to land Dwight Howard after July 1.
Earlier in the day there were multiple reports that the Clippers and Celtics were having "deep" talks that would bring coach Doc Rivers to the West Coast as well as Kevin Garnett and possibly Paul Pierce to the Clippers.
Garnett has a no-trade clause that he would waive to make the deal happen.
The Clippers were said to be offering a package of first-round draft picks as well as DeAndre Jordan for Garnett and the rights to hire Rivers. Because Pierce could be bought out, getting him into a Clippers uniform would be sorted out after the Garnett-Rivers acquisition is finalized.
Bledsoe appears to be the key. The Celtics want Bledsoe but the Clippers are balking at including the highly-coveted guard in the same trade.
ESPN also says Bledsoe could be part of a package the Clippers make to acquire Aaron Afflalo from the Orlando Magic.
Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that Howard and Clippers star Chris Paul have talked about playing together next year.
The Boston Herald on Saturday said the Celtics are looking to wrap up a deal quickly, and reportedly want a deal in the next day or two or they might walk away.
The Celtics attempted to acquire Bledsoe and Jordan at the trade deadline but the deal fell through.
I hope those trades don't happen because that will make the Clippers a bad team for awhile LOL. Kevin and Paul need to retire like i said. Dwight Howard going to the Clippers isn't really a bad idea because he isn't gonna win with the Lakers. Kobe will probably retire after next season.
Why would it make the Clippers a bad team? It would make them a better team for the short term. Garnett and Pierce are better than Deandre Jordan and Bledsoe.
Howard didn't do anything for the Lakers this past season. Kobe had to carry the team. I don't know if it would be a good fit for the Clippers cause Howard has become such a drama queen, people are getting tired of him.
Garnett is still one of the best big men in the league. Duncan is older too. How come you're not saying he should retire also?
What kind of sense would it make for the Clippers to get Kevin and Paul when they're old and should retire? Clippers management should be thinking about trying to win now and keep the young guys they have. It's bad enough the Clippers have been terrible for so many years and now that they finally have a good team, they shouldn't fuck that up by trading their young players for some old washed up veterans. Tim Duncan does need to retire and he probably will if they win tomorrow.
-Allen Iverson's wife Toofana accuses him of abducting his children
Carrying a concealed weapon, pot possession, and a number of casino disturbances are just a few of the legal issues former NBA all-star Allen Iverson has sorted through in his illustrious career.
Now, the embattled 38-year-old might have to add child abduction to his rap sheet after the mother of his kids accused him of stealing their children at the end of May.
Iverson’s ex-wife, Tawana Iverson, has filed legal documents claiming the former Philadelphia 76ers point guard asked to take their five children – ranging in age from 3 to 16 – to Charlotte, N.C., for five days and never returned the kids, according to TMZ.
The gossip site goes on to detail how an arranged meeting between Tawana and Iverson on June 4 fell through when the four-time NBA scoring champ failed to turn up.
Tawana, according to TMZ, claims Iverson is currently at a Sheraton hotel in Georgia with their kids, whom she has primary physical custody of.
A player who amassed more than $150 million in total earnings during his storied 14-year NBA career, Iverson lost his $4.5 million mansion in February. Multiple reports also suggest he is dead broke.
At that time, a judge sided with Tawana during their divorce trial, accusing the former NBA MVP of being a deadbeat and an alcoholic.
"(Mr. Iverson) does not know how to manage (his five) children, has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development,” the court documents state.
Iverson last attempted a comeback in 2010 when he signed with Turkish side Besiktas. From 1996-2010, the first overall NBA draft pick featured with the Sixers, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies.
