the guy who isn't signing doesnt really know much about basketball, for one thing..and apparently, the other 8 owners usually ignore him, and so this was his chance to put the spotlight on his ego. i'm sure it will work out though...its going to be 8 guys vs. 1 guy in court, and joe johnson isnt going to try to go back to phoenix; he's burnt all his bridges there, and he's said frankly he doesnt want to play there.

The Los Angeles Lakers have waived forward Brian Grant, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. The team also announced that Grant will be designated as the team’s amnesty player as allowed in the new collective bargaining agreement.

Grant, acquired July 14, 2004 from the Miami Heat along with Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and a future first round draft pick in exchange for Shaquille O’Neal, has averaged 10.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 28.8 minutes over 735 games in his 11 season career. “The amnesty rule was not in place and thus not a factor when we made the trade which included Brian,” said Kupchak. “However, this is a one-time opportunity to take advantage of this situation, and exercising this will give us greater roster flexibility and the ability to improve our team. We’re grateful to Brian for his professionalism and contributions to our team last season and wish him the best of luck with the rest of his career.”

MAVS WAIVED FINLEY!!!!!!!! HELL NO!!!!! I'm a Mavs/Hawks fan. finley is one of my favorite players, that brother could shoot. Figures that the 2 teams with the biggest stars are stackin themselves, Mia getting j will and walker(and might get finley), and cleveland getting hughes and marshall. those are gonna be 2 of the top 3 this year yall(with detroit at no. 2 again). btw, I hope the knicks suck again this year, those fools bore the hell out of me and I can't stand marbury's ballhoggin, "I'm the best point gaurd in the league" ass. peace

ballhog? hardly anyone else took initiative to score, so yea marbury had to pull most of the weight on the points tip. and he still averaged about 8 to 9 assists per game...

Suns signed Grant like that's going to do anything for them. The great Reggie Miller is joining Inside the NBA too, glad to see he already has another job.
