That team is stacked:
Jason Collins for more publicity
Jason Kidd part time off the bench
They also got Bill Russell, and Larry Bird in that trade, and are looking to sign Dr. James Naismith; wowzers, look out Bulls that 72 game win record for a season is in deep trouble!!!!
Boldness of this move boggles my mind. He's 36! Took some balls on Ainge's part. "Age ain't nothing but a number"....hopefully the case. But doubtful. Know his college track record but Celtics totally different beast. Gotta man-manage someone that even Doc struggled to cope with in Rondo. Will be his biggest hurdle as coach. Does that, sky's the limit.
Houston could offer the same max $88 million contract but Texas doesn't have state taxes, which means Howard could keep more of his money.
Using the cleared salary-cap space, Golden State signed Iguodala, 29, to a four-year, $48 million contract.
According to multiple sources, Iguodala -- whom Golden State has long coveted -- wants to play for the Warriors. He's a big fan of coach Mark Jackson and Stephen Curry, and his game fits the Warriors style of play.
Part of the reason, per one source, Iguodala did not sign Sacramento's four-year, $52 million offer was because he wanted to see if there were a chance he could play for the Warriors.
The Warriors cleared the cap space needed by trading the expiring contracts of Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush to Utah. The deal also included multiple picks, including the Warriors' 2014 first-rounder.
The Warriors also had to renounce their rights to guard Jarrett Jack and forward Carl Landry. Golden State had the Bird rights to Jack, which meant they could sign him to a new contract despite being over the cap. But to get under the cap, the Warriors had to waive that right and now Golden State can't afford Jack or Landry.
Marcus Gamby already tells Raptors he wants to be traded before even officially joining their team:
Wait, did he get traded to them, get cut, and sign with them, or have I went back in time?
Dwight Howard will make the Rockets better, but if you think this will put them in the Finals, am sorry, but he won't, however maybe if he lets The Dream teach him a thing, or five, and he becomes a much better centre than I could be wrong....
Karma: The Fakers gambled to trade for Howard only to not have him commit long term. Finally the rich don't get what they want! (a la A-Roids in NY)
lol...U Mad Kobe? He has that middle school/12 year old girl idea of revenge who saw the boy she likes take another chick out to the prom...biggest pussy in the league...for somebody that claims to be a "winnner" hes the worst loser and biggest baby in sports but Fakers fans still luv this rapist douchebag cuz they are just like him...little bitches!
Following @KobeBryant's lead, @PauGasol has stopped following @DwightHoward tonight.
Looks like @PauGasol is back to following @DwightHoward.
Mr. "Fukin Faggot" himself is butt hurt LeBron won back-to-back Finals MVP awards without a primed Shaq, just like he did, on top of having four times as many MVP awards and much better career stat averages. He's in full blown diva mode, even more so now.
Kobe was overthrown by the real "King" a long time ago and poisonous to big men by now running two Hall of Famers out of town.
Like Lebron doesn't have other superstars on his team helping him? lol He had some of the most help of any championship team in recent memory.
I would think that most people would be on Kobe's side on this one as Howard is one of the biggest prima donna's and drama queens in the league. He had a bad season last year, and the team would have been a lot worse without Kobe. Howard ran himself out of town, he didn't want to play in Kobe's shadow.
Sixers picked up the guy who didn't play for the Rockets at all last season cause he wanted to take a bus to every game:
