Maybe the Washington Generals?
---Knicks looking to trade JR Smith
Sources close to the situation said Wednesday that the organization has become increasingly frustrated with Smith’s on- and off-court transgressions and may feel a fresh start would be best for all parties.
Smith had off-season knee surgery (which he put off until he signed the new contract) and since he came back (after missing training came for the knee then the first five games of the season for testing positive for Marijuana) he is not the same player that helped carry the Knicks to 54 wins and the second round of the playoffs (well, he didn’t help much in the playoffs).
Add to that the off-the-court issues, the latest of which was a $50,000 for untying opposing players shoes during the game, and teams are not going to be very interested.
JR Smith might as well start looking for a regular job because no NBA team is gonna sign him hahahahahahahahahahaha. You might see him working at your local grocery store as a janitor or a stockperson LOL. LOL@Knicks and Nets beating Miami yesterday and Thursday hahahahahahahahaha. LOL@Kobe sitting on the bench last night and looking pissed off because of the Lakers getting their asses kicked by the Clippers.
JR Smith is a talent. Get him to San Antonio (Popovich), Clips (Doc) or Dallas (Carlisle) and I think he'll calm down a lot. Great coaches always find a way to get the best outta players. like Coach Brown did with AI for a couple years, Jackson with Rodman, PJ Carlesimo with Latrell Sprewell
^ "This is the mfkn reason they implemented the three in the key rule."
--- So, Gary Payton, what don’t you like about the modern NBA? Payton: ‘Basically everything’
It's no defense, it's just run and gun. To me, there's only three point guards in the NBA that impress me; I got Chris Paul, Rondo, and another kid that I like a lot and I forgot his name right now. Oh, and Tony Parker. That's only three NBA players in there.
There's too much touch fouls. Every time you touch and they stay on the free throw line. That's no way to watch basketball. When we were playing, it was rough and tough. Even superstars like me fouled out a lot. That's because they let people play, and if you do something then you call it. But nowadays it's not like that and this is the era.
This is what kids want to see. You see these Playstations, they scoring 50 and 60 with one player, that's what they want to see on TV and I don't go with that. My era, give me one-on-one with somebody and stop him and right now you can't do that with a player because if you touch him he's going to the foul line and you're fouling out. Let him be rough. If he got an opportunity to go at you in the offensive end, let me go at him on the defensive end and rough him up. So that's the way I like basketball and I don't think it's like that.
Boston has traded guards Jordan Crawford and Marshawn Brooks to Golden State.
Heat have traded Joel Anthony and 2 future draft picks for Toney Douglas in three-team trade. Move likely saves Heat 10M+.
Boston is effectively paying Joel Anthony's salary next season ($3.8M) for 3 second-round picks, outside chance at one 1st/one 2nd.
Miami, Boston will also receive Philadelphia's projected future first-round pick and a future second round pick
Joel was on the outs once they got Oden to essentially backup Anderson
