Post thoughts on certain martial arts, experience, tips, questions, fight dates, awards won, you know, shit like that.
I personally think Muay Thai is the best STRIKING martial art of all time. Its ruthless, head crackin shit you know? I plan on doing 10 years of that. I have boxxed for 2 years, Japanese Karate for 4 years and Tae Kwon Do for about 9 months. Im a great striker, I have no ground game, which is the reason why im gonna do 10 years of BJJ, GJJ or submissive wrestling. I think karate and tae kwon do are underatted, but it is its own fault. Shitty instructors, 1000 dollar belt tests every other day ruin the reputation. But both are great for the basic striking. Boxxing, is best for punching in my opinion. Karate is amazing for conditioning body parts. Bad when i was in Jap Karate i could drop 30 pounds rocks on my stomache and wouldnt flinch... and i was 13.
I want to get in to ground fighting because its just unstoppable unless someone is armed with a weapon. TKD, Jap Karate are very effective in my opinion.... If taught right. And I am taught right. I am a gold medalist in TKD. Im a great striker, but if I went to the ground againt a grappler, I'm fucked. But I know some basics to grappling. Martial Arts are my life. I wish GA had more tournies, I'd be at everyone. And thats my martial arts experience, opinions n shit.
