    howard hawks i don't know if i've seen any...the name sounds super familiar, i know he was like a 40s-50s era filmmaker...

    King Kong was interminable.

    sam peckinpah for sure...for straw dogs with dustin hoffman...and this western he did right before that was amazing...the name escapes me right now....

    you're the fist person to say speilberg lol...he should definitely be on all of our lists...granted he can occasionally go for the saccharine or commercialized...his overall filmography is credible...he deserves a spot for schindler's list, saving private ryan, color purple, close encounters, AI, raiders....
