Interesting. Cuz out of the news stories I've read, this is the first time I've heard she was hit with a tire iron. Most publications word it as if she was penis thrusted to death and did not give details about her injuries - just that she was raped and has died.

they inserted the "iron rod" into her and that was what caused most of the internal damage

a huge amount of rape happens in india..

the police never do anything, dont even want it reported,, they try and hold it off.. and when they do report it, it takes 3-5 years to get to court,..

Last year, a rape was reported on average every 20 minutes in India. Just 26 percent of the cases resulted in convictions, according to the National Crime Records Bureau, which registered 24,206 rapes in 2011, up from 22,141 the previous year.

i'm guessing that only accounts for the small percentage of rapes that actually gets reported. i'm betting the majority of rape cases goes unreported. who knows what the true figure is?

that's incredibly low for a country with 1.2 billion people.

It's crazy that the world is now learning people get raped in India, but to act like your realization that things that happen in life happen outside of America is an indicator of some type of rape pandemic in india is silly willy.

The majority of rape cases in every country aren't reported. More important it was all fun and games when Gucci mane was doing this right?
