yo ive done this shiet in france and canada
its dope as hell
its like a mix of like gymnastics, capoeira, breakdance, martial arts etc

its pretty dope
its kinda like the stunts in ONG BAK
but the movies where this style is famous is
yamakasi, fils du vent, and taxi 2 & 3 (movies from france)

does anybody practice this??
i live in japan and this doesnt exist here!!
but its growing in europe from what i heard

ive seen this on the TV.

A few people from France came to london months ago to do this shit all arond the City. Crazy man! They have got to be very good not to break any bones when they land.

apperantly this sport was created in england
dont worry when i was taking some of the calsse they taught us how to fall and
tumble
they use rolls and break falls similar to those in aikido and judo
its pretty effective and it doesnt hurt as much as it may look

that came out a hwile ago

i feel u.. cos parkour got highly elevated here in England but the roots are by this guy sebastian and his friend who staretd the sport in the urban Parisian places etc...

i saw some pics of this guy doi a handstand on a railing and he was on his high ass building

it seems that theres like 2 ppl that really know parkour on this site
its crazy
the guy in yamakasi
the one that listens to music
listens to wu tang sometimes
i saw a documentary on those guy in yamakasi

I ain't been on Forum for a while and I just can't belive you posted a poll about parkour!Because it has started massivly spreading accross my town these days...Because of some of my friends who do parkour and I have a clip on my Motorola how one of them jumps from one building to another building and distance is like 5 meters and I show that to all my friends from basketball practice and from school.A guy came from another town also pro in Parkour to make a short movie with us and I should have been the camerman but the rain was fallin.Shout out from Croatia for all the bballers and parkourists in da worldPEACE

man in japan its not well known
i tried to open a school with the guy from canada
and it didnt go through coz its hard to translate the moves into japanese
but its easy to teach
plus in japan nobody really wants to do it
i hope one day it will be famous here

No i don't pracitce it..My friend was known to jump over high fences,climb high walls,etc. and I sometimes did it with him..We dindn't know for parkour then so when it came ip we got more inspiration...But I don't do it that often very more beacuse I'm tall and that's more easier when you're smaller....

4sho... parkour is definitely an international scene.. its just difficult to unite all the freestylers nahmean.. dats why we get all surprised when we would hear theres parkour in i dunno..random places on this planet etc..


btw.. apparently a game would be published on parkour... pipeline stuff

but hopefully no kids start jumping off buildings

i just jump over things that are close to the ground
like i jump fences, climb walls, stairs, i jump off my balcony to go to work
its pretty cool
and everything you learn benefits you

its very popular in europe and some places in canada
i know theres ppl doin it in hong kong and thailand
there was a guy teaching tony ja(main star of ONG BAK) parkour
i dunno about anywhere else
