i gotta go and rewatch i havent seen in years
from what i remember it was hard to put myself through it but i think now that im an adult i should be able to enjoy it for what it is

teen survival horror is just shit. oldschool survival horror is where its at.

Yeah, I posted a Vacancy thread a little while back. Well concerning teen survival horror, the first Vacancy involved an adult couple though, and not teens. lol Though I know what you mean.

How far back old school are you going though? Cause some of the horror movies from the 80's could be considered old school horror, and a lot involved teen survival horror.

Hahaha I saw a preview and I gotta say it looks like a throwaway BUT enjoyable movie while it lasts.

Im a big fan of the first and in the extras Eli Roth even says that they bought the rights to do a second but he would have nothing to do with it.

you can tell

the second one is just scattered gore.not that its a bad thing.there are plenty of great moments but overall it doesnt even come close to holding up to the first.

Would you say the drop off is as bad from Part 1 of Cabin Fever to Part 2 as Hostel was to Hostel Part 2?

oh no.no no no.

hostel and hostel 2 were seamless. imo at least. the transition from hostel to its sequel was done with thought. the transition to this new cabin fever was done in the vein of 'aaaaaaa fuck it"
