Just looked him up on imdb and I see he actually voiced Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in the recent Justice League: New Frontier animated movie.

David Boreanaz was actually rumored to be up for the role of Hal Jordan if DC actually got their shit together and put the movie on fast track, but yeah he did end up doing the voice.

Angel was a fantastic show and he was great in it, but im not convinced he could carry a movie.

He's a great lead actor on tv but in terms of movies im not too convinced, I've seen him in a couple of flicks and he wasn't very impressive.

Some actors in an Avengers movie are probably gonna need to just wander around with a big square jaw and look like a hero more than deliver a lot of dialog etc.

I disagree, if they keep the group tight (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk/Banner, Ant-Man and Nick Fury) there are alot of opportunities for each actor to shine, just depends on how well written the script is.

Obviously there will be a main group of major characters, but I would think that like X-Men there will also be minor roles for less famous heroes with little dialogue. There's also a chance that they'll try to limit how big the role of some of the characters with their own movies will be to cut down on salaries. If all the big name actors are stars, then just pay packets is gonna mean this has an exorbitant budget.

I guess they're gonna mash up different versions of Avengers to make the movie. As it seems Nick fury is assembling the team and the team he assembled was called The Ultimates rather than The Avengers, wasn't it?

They were but the movies it would seem are going to be a mixture of Ultimates and 616 continuity so I wouldn't be too concerned on how those comics played out.

I think if anything is going to give you the best idea to how the avengers flick might play out would be to watch the first ultimate avengers animated movie. I think in terms of how the team gets together my guess is it would be close to that version.

Cool. I really hope this actually happens. With everything at stake and all the cash needed to make it happen, there's avery good chance this will slip and slip and then dissapear.

I've just seen the rumour that David Boreanaz (Angel/Bones) is allegedly gonna play Namor, with Jonathan Mostow to direct. Hmmm.... Boreanaz might be good, but I dunno about Mostow, he hasn't exactly directed anything great yet.
