Not that all albums are "concept albums" (American Gangster, The Cool, etc, etc...) but I like to sometimes think of albums having an overlaying theme. With that said, I always thought that 36 Chambers was the bust out the gate, her we come, it aint safe no more album, that was best summed up by Bring The Ruckus, Ain't nuthin ta Fuck Wit, Protect Ya Neck and so on. Forever was the 5%, wisdom, knowledge understanding yadda yadda yadda album with its own thematic tracks. However I failed to see a running theme in The W, Iron Flag, and 8 Diagrams. Anyone come up with one?

I don't think they had any theme in mind while making any of group releases. I think that only their album that had lyrical concept was OB4CL.

I think the theme of Iron Flag was lets make an album that's many miles below our potential.

I think OB4CL was more intentional than anything
while the group releases werent so much
maybe its just me that sees it

Actually, Iron Flag is, IMO, their only group album that had a backing idea, the one of revisiting older sounds.

I really only saw that with the track Iron Flag with the strings resembling Forever work
everything else didnt show any example of that

"Chrome Wheels" is on Bobby Digital in Stereo tip.

"Uzi (Pinky Ring)" is like The W blaxploitation sound.

"Radioactive (Four Assassins)" is like something from Ironman.

"Y'all Been Warned" could easily be on Tical 2000.

From some reason your sudden stanning for beatles makes me laugh.

I don't think that there has been any concept on 36chambers.

Having 9 talented and angry mc's ready to show the world what they were about, while having a limited budget and chipping 100 bucks for shooting video spots and making music in dirty basements was a concept for itself on 36 chambers.
