Donnie Yen exemplifies form, whereas Jet Li exemplifies speed.

Donnie Yen might actually know more forms than Jet Li (which is saying alot, since Li knows many), and Jet Li is clearly faster (As Ipman demonstrates, that's saying alot for Li).

Both are ill, and have a more consistent film records than Chan. So a Li vs Yen thread would be much more interesting than this one, imho.

Although it only happened twice, their 2 battles against each other are among my all time favorites (OUATIC2 had the better battle in terms of fighting between the two, but their "mental battle" in Hero was more beautiful/poetic).

I've always found it suprising that Donnie Yen has yet to blow up as an action star in america. I mean the guy was raised in america, english is his first language and he is just as good as Jet Li.

thats aload of crap

jet li had allot of star power and pull before he cracked america - and he hasn't really cracked it major like chan did with rush hour

donnie yen doesn't have as nearly as much pull
