Electronic Music Thread
I listen to quite a lot of stuff like this and i figure i may as well post some stuff here.
There is a lot of variation within the genre's of Electro House and Dance or Disco. I'll try to post a variety of stuff, but the compilations will mostly be recent tracks, which i am listening to at the time. A fair amount of the electro i listen to is in a similar style to a group of producers on the Valerie label.
VALERIE It's difficult to explain, but all the musicians signed to Valerie and affiliated with the label have a distinctive nostalgic 80's sound but with more of an emphasis on a harder sound than a lot of the original 80's disco tunes. Prominent producers include The Outrunners, Russ Chimes, College, Anoraak, Maethelvin, Minitel Rose, Future Cop!, Diese, Cécile, NightWaves, Xinobi, Moulinex, Keenhouse, Illapa etc. I'll try not to overload posts with too many youtube links. i know about the basic stuff like daft punk, justice, etc. im not a big fan tho
this is kinda old but it's been on rotation lately (idk why) anything else you recommend pat??

Those tracks there are just a load of random stuff from a thread i made somewhere else.
The two mixes are mostly Valerie style synth based tunes. Valerie has just released a compilation, i'll get some of the tracks up later. Listening to some of the tracks you've posted, I got to think of The Tough Alliance from Gothenburg in Sweden.. they're one of my own personal favorite groups. If you don't know them, you should check out their album A New Chance, very catchy and 80'ish with a great deal of nostalgia and references to sex, drugs and violence

This thread is awesome, I was always peepin your sig's Pat and loved a good 90% of what I heard but had no means of finding it really. Downloadin' your mixes now.
I'm not sure if any of you fuck with Crystal Castles but I find this stuff unbelieveably dope PS. If you have that Data Sidewalker album that you could hook me up with, I'd be eternally greatful

Yeah, i caught Crystal Castles live earlier this year.
Good show, but the distortion was fucking huge. Trying to find a link for that DatA album, but i can't figure out where i downloaded it from. I'll send you a PM when i find one.
