MIT grad student David Merrill demos Siftables -- cookie-sized, computerized tiles you can stack and shuffle in your hands. These future-toys can do math, play music, and talk to their friends, too. Is this the next thing in hands-on learning? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a pretty amazing concept. Imagine being the first hip hop producer to take a box of siftables and make your drum pattern or beat. Imagine if you could stick a micro SD card into a block then copy a hi-hat or or sample into it - then set a variation on it? |
