sounds pretty dope, i was pleasently suprised.......... a lot better than a I expected, I also agree tho the mix needs to be softened down a touch, a bit more reverb maybe??

yea i thot the 3rd track couldve used some more reverb...but as far as the other 2 can u offer any tips on how they could be improved vocally?

beats is banging

record my verse and duplicated, den I add compression to one track n reverb to the other, then I fuck wit the volumes so it sounds good to me, den I go over the verse n record double ups to the verse kinda like hyping up my shit, I add sum flanger or a chorus efkt to that but real light on it... Den I save the vocals all as one wav file, re up it n throw a ligt eq on it n fuck with the volume so it don't peak...dats wat I do most times
I come to realize it rly depends on the mix of the beat too..

but yo keep rockin n lemme know if you wanna collab some time, I love building....also I got a track that's missin sum verses n I think you would do it justice..lemmeknow

theres no hard and fast rules for mixing im affraid every engineer has a different approach which equals there own sound and like skampoe pointed out every song is different because of the different mixing styles in the beats. For example a very dry sounding beat might require more reverb on the vocals to give the overall song more warmth but a reverb heavy beat might require less reverb on the vocals so the song doesnt sound muddy and all this usually requires layering of the vocal tracks with the different effects on. It all boils down to practice to achieve both elements of the song (beat/vocals) to sound as one rather than sounding like vocals placed on top of a beat. hope this helps a bit!!

Man I slept on this thread. I peeped the youtube vid in your signature and was vibin to it. Listening to this Archangel joint the flow is on point I'm feelin the writing too. You got a pretty nice ear for beats. Last Man Standing is dope. I don't really have much criticism keep bangin em out.
