Does anyone play Snes or Nes Emulators? I just got my hands on one of each and I'm having a blast reliving these old ass games. Playstation babies have NO idea what they're missing out on! Stop complaining that your $50 RPG is too easy and pick up Faxanadu.

Yeah I have NES and SNES emulators but I only really play the SNES one (although I haven't in a minute) as the SNES games have aged better.

I was playing a shit ton of games on emulators while I was without a console for a few months.

I played lots of Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and other games I loved as a kid.

I prefer beat-em-ups over most other genres from that time period.

If you wanna talk about an assrapingly hard game, play this:

I used to have just about every NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive, N64 and gameboy ROM going

I wouldn't call them ROMs but I used to have most of the fruit machines in my local arcade on my computer too

Using emulators is not keeping it old school. I have a boxed snes and a boxed megadrive which I like to bring out every now and again for a quick playthrough and relive my youth.

Only emulator I currently use is for mame which is awesome and I suppose with emulators you do get a huge library but nothing beats using the actual consoles.

^ True story. They did release old school controllers with usb connections so it kind of brings that old school feel back.

That's cool if you're not willing to put up the money, especially when it comes to some games which do cost quite a bit due to their rarity. Emulators are just more convenient.

so true. I plan on collecting all the old school systems so the seed can see what the shiny new....things came from. new is not always better IMO.
who cares if the game is shiny if the gameplay is simple enough for a grade school kid to beat? i welcome those hard as hell games, i need an adult challenge every now and then.
