Black Elk Speaks is a brilliant book. I purchased it as an audio book and have listened to it a number of times. Brilliant.

I go to them places described in the book every chance I get. Collect mad spiritual power and make them dog face demons cower back to where ever they hid at.

Yeah serious business though, I went to a John G. Niedhardt writing camp a back in high school, met some of his relatives. From what I understand is Black Elk chose John G to write his story, because he was nice with the English Language. Probably the only one that do it justice. Definitely a jewel piece of work in my opinion.
