When you purchase music of an artist that

...is no longer signed to the label; does the artist still get paid? For example if somebody buys Ironman right now; because Ghostface Killah is longer signed to Epic; would he still get paid? What about when you purchase used music from a secondhand store like F.Y.E.; do the label or the artist make any money from that? Another thing I was wondering about is with something like Meta Historical instrumentals; would KRS ONE still get paid off of that because his name and image are featured on the l.p. even though his vocals are not?

ASCRAP will sometimes send their minions to coffee shops or outdoor performances to shut down the music if a biz owner hasnt payed royalties to play music in a public setting, or harass artists doing cover songs.

Talk about ruining the concept of music or human expression.

If the artist was or still is on a major label, they weren't making shit from album royalties in the first place.
