i just like how saying somethings wack as an opinion isnt valid because its just "fun" music, why isnt it subject to critique as well?

i dont like ASAP and i dont like Drake, i dont care if you listen to it. my opinion of it, is that its gay. but it shouldnt stop you from listening to it, nor should it become any less of an opinion.

music may be based on the listener and what they like, but dont act like there arent standards in the art that to judge the music on. fun music and good music are two different things

whats good about good music if its not fun to listen to? i know what you're saying, but i don't think drake falls into that category except for a the occasional song.

there are plenty of great rappers that have little depth or lyrical content, but get by on flows and beats. its actually modus operandi for a lot of rappers. your average classic 90s album is raps on one topic, either skills or gangsterness then throws in a couple of thoughtful tracks to round it out. anyway asap may turn out to have more going on, hes only been on the scene for a minute.
